This is the main circuit and is enjoyable and varied, with
constantly changing scenery. The run starts just outside the
main Campomulo refuge. It is clearly marked with a large coloured
starting post. The first part of the route consists of a series
of hairpin bends that gradually lead up to the saddle-shaped
Campomulo, a large valley at 1600m.The route then flattens
out until it joins up with the track coming from the Pra Campofilone
on the left near Malga Fiara. Turn right here and don't forget
to admire the vast Marcesina depression coming into view down
in the valley. Malga Mandriele (1550m) comes and goes, as
does the track coming up from Marcesina.. You then go down
round a hairpin bend and continue through countryside until
you reach the head of the Scura valley. The track to Malga
Fossetta forks off to the right. The run now gets steeper
and a few hairpin bends take you up to the Saddle (1641m).
Now go down to the left towards Buso del Diavolo. Then turn
right immediately and continue going down, round a few bends
and two hairpin bends, and then gradually go up again. At the
next fork, the right hand track leads directly to Porta Molina.
Continue along the main track to the left and after about
300m bear sharp right at the turning and start climbing; after
another two hairpin bends, the track turns directly north
towards the Adriana Refuge at Malga Moline (1740m), 11km from
the start: time 1,40. After the refuge, go down and bear left
at the first two turnings. With alternating flat sections
and brief descents, you reach Pra Campofilone, after which
you turn east and climb up around several bends to the Saddle
(1651m). Go back down again, first rapidly and then up and
down humps until you reach Malga Fiara (1600m). Turn right
at the turning and after a long, gradual slope you gradually
climb up to Campomuletto, then back down again to the main
Campomulo refuge .
